Pediatric - Critical Care Medicine Physician

Our client in Florence County, SC is in need of a Critical Care Pediatrician for a full-time assignment!

Job details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Desired start date is no later than January 1, 2025.
• Reason for opening: Attrition
• Schedule includes 7 days on, 7 days off. Possibly flexible according to the arrangement between the Medical Director and Staff Physician.
• Shifts consist of 24-hour rounding plus call from home.
• Call will be shared with another Intensivist.
• 7.6 shifts per month is full-time, 5.5 shifts per month minimum for benefit-eligible.
• Practice setting includes inpatient care and rounds.

• Facility designation: Level III Trauma Center.
• Responsible for providing coverage to a 6-bed PICU
• Admissions and patient management
• Consultation with families and referring physicians
• Working with local physicians/facilities on successfully accepting transfers into the hospital/unit
• Documentation system/EMR details to be discussed with the Medical Director.

Job Requirements:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
• TRULY Board Eligible (new grads/those in last year of fellowship working to become BC within 5 years) or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care - REQUIRED
• Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
• SC License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
• PALS, ATLS (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
• DEA (or able to obtain) - REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice and license record - PREFERRED
