High census level 1 trauma center with the following ICUs: BICU, MICU, CVTU, TNICU.
Adult and pediatric burn trauma surgical ICU RN.
Primary RN Care model.
Nursing care ratios 1:2 for critical care patients.
1:1 nursing care support for burn trauma code 1 admissions and high acuity and post-operative patients.
Needs include invasive hemodynamic monitoring (At least Q 1 hr), IV drip titration, nurse driven burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula, ventilator management, CVVH, Q 1 h pulse and flap doppler checks, initial debridement and dressing changes, conscious sedation, surgical recovery, epidural pumps.
Job Requirements
Current Indiana RN license required.
Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
Pharmacology 1 or 2 exam required to be completed prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter. Minimum 80% score. Only 2 attempts allowed.
Completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter in specialty. Minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization. Only 2 attempts allowed.
Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics. Completed within a year of start updated yearly. Minimum 80% score. Only 2 attempts allowed.
