Position Summary | Under the direction of the Coordinator, Veterinary Technical Services, Comparative Medicine, this position will perform and provide assistance in implementing CM’s Animal Health Surveillance Program. These duties will include monitoring daily animal health surveillance, and monitoring of compliance with USDA, IACUC, and AAALAC policies and regulations. This position will also be required to perform first line basic care, feeding, and husbandry of all species of animals used in research at UNMC as required. Other duties may be assigned. |

Must have ability to follow through on multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously. Must have the ability to interact with individuals of great diversity in culture and education. Must be high organized and detail oriented. Individual must exhibit independent judgement in problem resolution and decision making with minimal supervision. |
