POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in aligning Human Resource (HR) strategies and initiatives with overall business objectives at assigned plant. This role collaborates closely with various departments to provide strategic HR support, implement HR programs, and foster a positive work culture. The HRBP acts as a consultant to management on human resource related matters and supports the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with business leaders and department heads to understand objectives and challenges.
  • Align HR strategies, programs, and initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Provide guidance and support in workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Conduct investigations and facilitate conflict resolution processes when necessary.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and selection processes.
  • Assist in the development of onboarding programs and conducting orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Advise on performance management, coach managers on performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on HR compliance matters, such as discrimination, harassment, and other legal issues.
  • Ensure that HR practices and policies are consistently applied across the organization.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and guide leaders and teams through transitions.
  • Assess organizational needs and recommend interventions enhance team dynamics and effectiveness.
  • Implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new initiatives.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, patterns, areas for improvement, effectiveness of HR initiatives and support decision-making.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver relevant training programs.
  • Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor degree in human resources, organizational development, psychology, or related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR (employee relations, management, business partner), if degreed. Minimum of 9 years of experience in HR (employee relations, management, business partner), if non-degreed.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR strategic planning and implementation.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a union environment/labor relations.
  • HR Certification.
  • Certified First Responder.
  • Change Management certified.

SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • Flexibility in work hours and respond on an on-call basis to support the facility.
  • Maintain a valid driverâ??s license.
  • Must be able to walk around for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment, which includes stairs.
  • Periodic travel by automobile or air, including overnight stays, to attend training or provide support to other facilities.
