Description

A Clinical Adjunct is responsible for facilitating student learning in clinical environments by bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. This role focuses on supervising students, ensuring safe patient care practices, and supporting the development of clinical judgment and professional behaviors.

Job Duties

  • Supervise and guide students during clinical experiences in healthcare settings
  • Ensure students adhere to safety standards, policies, and ethical practices
  • Facilitate the application of classroom knowledge to patient care situations
  • Provide real-time feedback and evaluate student performance
  • Collaborate with course faculty to align clinical experiences with course objectives
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and competencies
  • Serve as a professional role model in communication, clinical skills, and decision-making

Qualifications

  • Current unencumbered Iowa or compact state RN license
  • 2 years experience
  • BSN degree or working toward completion of BSN
  • Ability to teach and supervise students safely
  • Ability to pass a background check

Physical Demands

  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
