Description

Job title: IT Support Specialist
Compensation: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Location: Omaha, NE


The job: 

As an IT Support Specialist at Buildertrend, you will provide technical support to our employees across the organization. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support across Buildertrend, providing timely and effective assistance to employees experiencing technical problems. You will collaborate closely with the broader IT team to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, maintain the integrity and security of our systems, and ensure all technology assets are current and functioning optimally. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of support activities and ensuring that IT documentation is regularly updated.


What you will do: 

  • Provide technical support to employees across the organization, including hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the IT team and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Maintain and support our IT infrastructure, including hardware and software installations and upgrades.
  • Ensure that our IT systems are secure and up-to-date by implementing and maintaining security protocols and patches.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT support activities, including support requests and resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date IT documentation and user manuals.
  • Event production support with audio/video production.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and IT best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to our IT infrastructure and services.


Who you are and what you need: 

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in IT support required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows, and Mac OS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift and move computer equipment, run cables, and mount TVs as needed.
