Manager of Research & Development (R&D)

We have a career opportunity for a Manager of R&D.  You will be responsible for supporting the function and responsibilities of American Laboratories' (ALI) PR&D department.

This position will be located in Omaha, NE, working with different management levels and support personnel in other office locations.

The impact you will have:

  • Support the troubleshooting of operations and processing issues by both performing lab-scale processing and data analytics review.
  • Support developing new and optimizing current products for both internal and external production.
  • Support Change Control and creation and execution of Installation/Operational/Process Qualification/Process Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, PV) protocols and develop of summary reports.
  • Support updates and approve Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
  • Support risk assessments and implementation of the identified improvements.

What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an USDA and/or FDA regulated industry; Bachelor of Science degree, with a minimum of three (3) years experience in an USDA and/or FDA regulated industry, preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience with qualification/validation.
  • Experience with filtering/purification processing, preferred.
  • Knowledge of US FDA 21 CFR Part 117 cGMP requirements.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and employee relation skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other basic computer skills.
