Immediate Supervisor: ProActive General Manager                   Status:   Non-Exempt
I.  DEPARTMENT FUNCTION/JOB OVERVIEW
The Membership Services Assistant (MSA) is responsible for prospect tours, sales, and member retention efforts.  Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for this department and Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital as a whole, including upholding the mission and values of the department and facility.
II.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(INFORMATION)

  1. Must be proficient using the member management software system and in Word and Excel as necessary.
  2. Maintains record of productivity including: prospects, tours and closings.
  3. Maintains a prospect call list and makes calls to potential members.
    (PEOPLE)
  4. Under the direction of the manager, serves as the point person for membership sales.
  5. Duties include calling prospects, scheduling and conducting prospect tours, completing sales transactions, and helping with member retention efforts.
  6. Must be completely familiar with all programs and be able to communicate effectively to prospects.
  7. Must be able to effectively communicate the membership plan and policies to all prospects and be an efficient sales closer.
  8. Follows instruction from manager to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals within the department and Madonna as a whole.  Participate on teams and/or committees as requested.
    (THINGS)
  9. Must be proficient in using computers, fax, copiers, and software programs necessary for producing reports, charts, databases and graphs.
  10. Supports and cross-sells all ProActive departments, programs, and services.
  11. Maintains active involvement in all ProActive special events and programs.
  12. Maintains and ensures a safe environment for the department.  Handle and operate all necessary equipment and perform required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury.
  13. Assists with ensuring cleanliness of equipment and environment.
    III.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
    Must have constant near visual acuity with ordinary hearing and speaking skills.  Must be able to lift maximum of 25 pounds and frequent lift and carry of 15 pounds. Must tolerate frequent sitting throughout the work shift. Must be able to independently move throughout facility while conducting tours. Must tolerate occasional periods of carrying throughout the shift. Must tolerate occasional to frequent horizontal reaching with both arms. Frequent grasping of both hands requiring normal grip strength based on national averages.  Requires ordinary hearing and speaking skills.
    IV.  QUALIFICATIONS (Education/training and/or Experience)
    High school diploma or equivalency required.  Must have excellent sales and customer service aptitude with 6 months experience.   Background checks are conducted.  When  specific authorization forms are requested so that full background and history can be  obtained, employees/applicants must sign the form(s) requested.
