The candidate chosen will perform department related production scheduling, inventory management, new/existing personnel training, interview, hire, work with all departments to resolve product and quality problems, work with engineering to coordinate change orders, perform depart quality activities, ensure safety compliance and will work directly with sales and vendors on quality issues. The Area Supervisor will strive to continuously improve our business systems.

SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates activities of manufacturing workers to safely and efficiently build and ship quality products to satisfy all customers. Performs responsibilities and duties as assigned by the CoE General/Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be willing and able to successfully pass our in-house forklift & overhead crane certification program prior to operating these machines within our facility. Operating these machines is an essential function of this role. This certification program will assess proficiency in safe operation according to our company’s standards and protocols. Training will be provided.
