Company Overview

Founded in 1847, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is Middle Tennessee’s largest business federation, representing more than 2,500 businesses in 10 counties (Davidson, Cheatham, Dickson, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson).

Our office, housed in the Commerce Center, is conveniently located in downtown Nashville, with direct access to Music City’s premier business and entertainment venues.

Our Focus

The Chamber is a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating community leadership to create economic prosperity.

Nashville is a thriving city filled with risk-takers. Positive energy and camaraderie fuel the spirit of the region. Every day, people find new ways to take advantage of opportunities offered, to make something from nothing, to make their mark, to realize their dreams. At the center of this spirit is the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

At the Chamber, you:
  • Belong, collaborating with others, energized by common drive and passion;
  • Engage, sharing a vision for the future and sharing the collective influence to make it happen;
  • Lead, impacting our region, transforming our future;
  • Prosper, realizing opportunities that grow your business and enrich our communities.
In the words of our Leader, Ralph Schulz, "The great thing about living in Nashville is that all of us, no matter who we are or what we do, have a chance to belong, engage, lead and prosper here. We are a welcoming city that encourages people to become involved and presents opportunities for leadership in many ways. Prosperity means something different to everyone, but whether you judge prosperity by quality of life, the ability to raise a family here, the opportunity to run a successful business or the ability to improve the lives of others through community service, Nashville is a prosperous town."

Benefits

Our employees are critical to the success of the Chamber, and we provide a competitive salary and benefits structure to attract and retain talented professionals. We are interested in the progress of our employees and concerned with their well-being, and take pride in their success. In return, we expect employees to fulfill their responsibilities according to certain standards and to work to achieve the best of their abilities.

Affiliate Partners

Over the years, a growing number of highly focused affiliate organizations have been established as an outgrowth of key Chamber initiatives. Today, the missions and targeted efforts of those organizations complement the economic development work of the Chamber. Our affiliate organizations are the Nashville Downtown Partnership; the Nashville Health Care Council; and the Nashville Technology Council. The Nashville Area Chamber also maintains strategic alliances with the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Nashville Sports Council.
